ABSTRACT
Oracle networks feeding off-chain information to a blockchain are required solve distributed agreement problem since these receive from multiple sources and at different times. We make key observation that in most cases, the value obtained by network nodes close proximity. define notion of distance leverage availability or state machine replication (SMR) service this with an honest simple majority instead conventional requirement super nodes. Values being proximity, therefore, forming coherent cluster, is one keys its efficiency. Our asynchronous protocol also embeds fallback mechanism if cluster formation fails. Through simulations using real-world exchange data seven prominent exchanges, we show even for very small values, would be able form clusters can safely tolerate up 1/2 fraction Byzantine that, statistical error, it possible choose size significantly smaller than entire system tolerating 1/3 failures. This allows operate much more efficiently horizontally scale better.
