Linear Programming Method and Diet Problem

Environmental impact has always been a concern for the world, and carbon emission one of problematic issues to solve. In addition daily travel use electrical appliances, agriculture animal husbandry also contribute emissions. order solve this problem, our project investigates how reduce emissions as much possible while meeting nutritional requirements within specific budget. A mathematical model using linear programming was used calculate footprint ten categories 119 foods. We constrained nutrient content, price, food items obtain lowest divided study population by age gender develop diet suitable groups (e.g., teenagers, elderly, pregnant) reducing environmental pollution.
