ABSTRACT
We demonstrate selective excitation and coherent amplification in the multicore fiber of out-of-phase supermode that has equal intensities but interleaved 0/π phases neighboring cores. The is beneficial due to its stability at arbitrary high powers, whereas fundamental becomes unstable relatively powers. fabricated a double-clad all solid silica with six highly Yb-doped coupled cores arranged ring structure. obtained 50 picosecond chirped pulses up ~1 μJ energy measured content mode >80%. experimental results were supported by 3D numerical simulation demonstrating possibility fibers real parameters without degradation composition for powers damage threshold glass.
