Doublet Metalens for Polarization Conversion as Well as Focusing

ABSTRACT
The metalens created in accordance with the Pancharatnan-Berry (PB) phase principle are always addressed circularly polarised (CP) incidence, resulting a limitation efficiency and optical path miniaturisation. This article proposes cascaded two-layer structure for linear-to-circular polarization conversion PB focusing. consists of arrays on upper lower sides substrate, periodic Au-elliptical-cylindrical (AEC) array arranged below substrate to convert incident linearly (LP) light into CP light, acting as Quarter-wave plate (QWP); TiO <sub xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">2</sub> different rotation angles top using phase, so that converted will converge at one point. Comparing this design same numerical aperture (NA) but without incidence effectively verifies focusing function integrated doublet metasurface. In addition focusing, concept is applicable communication, sensing, storage, other optically devices.
