ABSTRACT
The eLine10k is a fast-frame, 64-channel readout ASIC for SLAC Linac Coherent Light Source (LCLS) detectors. circuit has been designed to integrate the charge from high-capacitance 2D sensors with rolling shutter and ID strip sensors. It suitable applications requiring large input signal range, on order of 10 4 photons/pixel/pulse at 8keV (22Me xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">- ), resolution half photon FWHM (500e r.m.s). like X-ray Active Matrix Pixel Sensor (XAMPS), which optimized, present several pixels are bussed same line. Large capacitance each channel expected leading stringent noise optimization requirements. required number per channel, fixed LCLS beam period impose limitations time available single pixel. Giving periodic nature beam, developed this application time-variant system, providing low-noise integration, filtering correlated double-sampling, processing speed up 500k pixel/s channel. To cope dynamic pump scheme implemented using synchronous zero-balance measurement method. provides on-chip 4-bit coarse digital conversion integrated charge. residual sampled double sampling into an analog memory, multiplexed measured external ADC. In paper, architecture performance final release presented.
