ABSTRACT
Abstract Aims To present opportunities and a model to redress the under‐representation of rural communities people in Australian clinical trials. Context Clinical trials are essential for building understanding health evidence base. The lack representation is evident other countries. Examining New Zealand Trial Registry (ANZCTR) suggests this also case Australia. Approach We propose an approach that empowers rurally based academics clinicians co‐design increase Australians' participation address inequality access. A study decentralised, co‐designed trial presented support approach. Conclusion Decentralising could improve access trials, strengthen social capital help inequalities exist between metropolitan communities.
