ABSTRACT
This study aimed to evaluate the effects of lysine and histidine supplementation on growth performance, gene expression, blood parameters quality fillet in Nile tilapia, Oreochromis niloticus (n = 192; 136.14 ± 2.32 g). Fish were distributed into four groups fed a control diet without (CON), supplemented with (LYS), (HIS) or (LYS + HIS) until apparent satiety for 90 days. Growth performance increased significantly fish LYS HIS (p < .05). The body weight gain yield by 26.61% 2.74% unit, respectively, compared CON .001). Compared group, diets showed decreased whole-body lipid plasmatic triglycerides coupled mRNA levels MyoD myogenin skeletal muscle higher texture attributes fillets There was substantial negative correlation between lipids hardness fillets. Overall, combined optimizes expression growth-related genes flesh grow-out tilapia.
