ABSTRACT
Abstract Long non–coding RNA AC020978 (lncRNA AC020978) is an oncogenic regulator of non–small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). However, the function in regulating NSCLC metastasis and potential molecular mechanism remains largely unknown. In this study, we evaluated expression levels a series tissues using FISH assays found that higher were closely associated with unfavorable prognosis. Functional studies showed promoted migration invasion both vitro vivo. Further investigation demonstrated interacted malate dehydrogenase 2 (MDH2) maintained MDH2 stability. Knockdown weakened facilitating effect on 2‐hydroxyglutarate (2‐HG) metabolism AC020978‐overexpressed cells. sequencing, bioinformatic analysis, western blotting revealed was AKT signaling pathway. Taken together, our findings might serve as prognostic biomarker activate pathway by stabilizing MDH2, leading to progression NSCLC.
