ABSTRACT
Women with certain inflammatory diseases have an increased risk of giving birth to infants who are small for gestational age (SGA) or preterm (PTB), maternal disease activity being the most important factor. However, previous studies investigating association between psoriasis and SGA scarce shown conflicting results. To investigate PTB, respectively, both overall stratified by severity. This was a nationwide register-based matched cohort study women 1 : 10 without on at delivery, body mass index smoking status their first singleton infant born during period 2004-2017. Odds ratio (OR) 95% CI were calculated in conditional logistic regression models adjusted known factors. From 516 063 deliveries, we identified 6282 62 798 psoriasis. The PTB similar controls: OR (aOR) = 1.07 (95% 0.98-1.17) aOR 1.05 0.93-1.19), respectively. term (aOR 1.11; 1.01-1.22) compared controls.Maternal not associated PTB. Risk slightly history controls, however; these likely be constitutionally no perinatal morbidity mortality.
