ABSTRACT
Objectives The aim of our work is to investigate the clinical characteristics coronary artery fistula (CAF) anomalies in South Vietnam. Methods This a retrospective analysis 119 patients with diagnosis definite CAF between January 1992 and April 2016. demographic, clinical, echocardiographic, angiographic management short-term outcomes are described. Results median age was 15 years (range, 1-79 years), 49 male (41%) 70 female (59%). There were 77 symptomatic (64.7%) 91 (76.5%) who presented murmur. electrocardiogram abnormal 45.4% cardiac enlargement or increased pulmonary vasculature seen 76 (63.9%) on chest X-ray. sensitivity echocardiography for 79%. source most often from RCA (54%), commonly right atrium (34.5%) ventricle (31.1%). In comparison surgery, transcatheter closure had shorter hospital length stay (5.4 ± 3.8 days vs 12.6 6.5 days, P = .02) better postprocedural left ventricular ejection fraction (67.9 8.1% 62.9 6.0%, .03). Conclusion majority this study originated terminated ventricle. Transcatheter surgical both relatively safe effective, potential shortened following closure.
