ABSTRACT
Anal fistula is one of the most common anal diseases, affecting between 1 and 3 per 10 000 people year. Symptoms have a potentially severe effect on patient's quality life. Surgery mainstay treatment, aiming to cure preserve sphincter function. Rectal advancement flap (RAF) currently gold standard treatment but has recurrence rates varying 20% 50% might lead disturbance continence. The aim trial described in this work discover if minimally invasive tract laser closure (FiLaC™) technique could achieve higher healing better functional outcome than RAF.
