ABSTRACT
In Japan, risk stratification after baseline colonoscopy is not widely accepted. We investigated the findings of colonoscopies at 17 community practices and evaluated incidence advanced neoplasia over a 5-year period. This retrospective cohort study enrolled 3115 subjects 40 years age who underwent had least one repeated within 5 years. Each group was classified based on endoscopic colonoscopy: no neoplasia/diminutive polyp <5 mm (N/D); small adenoma <10 mm; adenoma; invasive cancer, respectively. examined during these relationship between surveillance newly detected neoplasia. The did show any significant increased as compared to N/D (hazard ratio [HR]: 0.799. 95% CI 0.442-1.443). There significantly in cancer groups (HR: 4.996, 2.940-8.491, HR: 3.737, 1.309-10.666). Cancer incidences period were 0.18% group, 1.9% Undergoing twice decreased neoplasia. There close subsequent development. Risk for can serve useful index determining optimal interval frequency period.
