Prevalence and predictors of gestational diabetes mellitus: a nationwide multicentre prospective study

ABSTRACT
Abstract Aim Prevalence rates of gestational diabetes mellitus ( GDM ) show considerable variation among different countries and regions the world. The primary aim this study was to determine nationwide prevalence predictors in Turkey. Methods We conducted prospective screening pregnant women. Between August 2016 November 2017, a total 2643 women from 51 centres 12 were enrolled. A two‐step method Carpenter Coustan criteria used diagnosis . Results national found be 16.2% [95% confidence intervals CI 15.0% 17.4%] without significant difference between urban rural regions.
