Health behaviour models and patient preferences regarding nutrition and physical activity after breast or prostate cancer diagnosis

ABSTRACT
This study aimed to improve understanding of prostate and breast cancer survivors' physical activity nutrition the association these behaviours with two models. The first model, Commonsense Self-Regulation Model (CSM), addresses cognitive emotional perceptions illness whereas Transtheoretical (TTM) focuses on stage readiness engage in a behaviour. Participants who had been diagnosed either (n = 145) or 92) completed measures demographic health information, representations, change, self-efficacy preferences regarding behaviour interventions. Health past seven days were measured via International Physical Activity Questionnaire concordance national dietary guidelines. As hypothesised, TTM variables (stage change self-efficacy) demonstrated independent associations regression analyses.
