ABSTRACT
Objective The aim of this qualitative study was to explore allogeneic haematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) survivors' perspectives stresses and their coping strategies, in order attain a deeper understanding experience. Methods We conducted semi-structured interviews with 20 Japanese allo-HSCT survivors about the they experienced how coped. then content-driven thematic analysis interview results. questions probed strategies related allo-HSCT. Results identified 74 across 7 domains: symptoms after transplantation, limitations daily life, appearance changes, relationship anxieties, work impairment financial issues, uncertainty disappointed expectations. In addition, 21 were 3 direct efforts manage problems, adaptive attitude, seeking using social support. Conclusion By identifying broad range stressors associated allo-HSCT, insight gained as impact on lives. These results provide foundation for future development resources survivors, significant others clinicians. Stressors among comprehensively characterised, which will useful information patients enable healthcare practitioners better care.
