ABSTRACT
This study aimed to investigate psychological resilience and demoralisation their predictors mediators in prostate cancer survivors (PCSs).A cross-sectional research design was used. PCSs (N = 122; mean time since diagnosis 54.79 months, range 13 years 2 months) were recruited using convenience sampling at the outpatient department of a hospital Taiwan. Data collection conducted self-report structured questionnaires, including one for demographic disease characteristics, Expanded Prostate Cancer Index Composite, Survivors' Self-Efficacy Scale, Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale Demoralisation Scale.In PCSs, lower most-recent level prostate-specific antigen higher cancer-specific self-efficacy associated with better resilience. Further, fewer hormonal, bowel urinary symptoms bother; self-efficacy; less demoralisation.
