ABSTRACT
The natural dynamics of the jaw during physical activity and its physiological mechanisms are not fully understood. However, teeth clenching certain sports activities may be associated with increased strength, power, flexibility, performance. This behavior is termed awake bruxism (AB) can lead to intraoral damage, highlighting importance patient education management. work describes fabrication a custom mouthguard (MG) idealized prevent oral injuries secondary AB practice discusses indications, benefits, guidelines for future research. A 3-mm Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA) soft plate was selected as material MG fabrication, which designed fit mandibular arch an occlusal coverage thickness 1.5-2 mm, vestibular lingual extensions up 3-4 mm away from gingival margin, anterior connecting rod 3-5 mm. proposed intended provide comfort, aesthetics, protection against athletes who experience neuromuscular benefits when their teeth.
