ABSTRACT
In large B-cell lymphoma (LBCL) MYC- and MYC/BCL2 double-hit (DH) translocations have been associated with inferior survival. We hypothesised that the negative prognostic impact of MYC translocation was determined by an immunoglobulin partner gene (IG-MYC), as opposed to a non-immunoglobulin (nonIG-MYC). prospective, unselected cohort 237 LBCL patients BCL2 were identified fluorescent in situ hybridisation (FISH) split probes. IGH/MYC fusion probes and/or kappa/lambda Clinical data collected from patient files. 28/225 patients. IG-MYC 12/24 DH 23/228 9/19 Neither MYC-nor showed correlation However, worse OS compared both nonIG-MYC (P = 0.02) well absence 0.03). similar, however, stronger seen 0.003 P 0.0004 respectively). - or not overall survival 0.2 0.3 Most received Rituximab (86%) CHOP/CHOP-like chemotherapy regimes (81%). suggest stratification should include identification because approximately half cases harbour genes no minor influence on
