ABSTRACT
Generalized cerebral ischaemia from cardiovascular dysfunction usually leads to presyncopal dizziness, but several studies reported a higher frequency of rotatory vertigo in patients. Whether generalized due disorders may produce objective vestibular was investigated.Thirty-three patients with orthostatic dizziness/vertigo profound hypotension and 30 controls were recruited. All participants underwent recording eye movements during two challenging tests: the Schellong squatting-standing tests. Most had neuroimaging, abnormal subjected follow-up evaluations.Symptoms associated included blurred vision, fainting tinnitus. Ten (30%) 33 developed nystagmus (n = 5) or test 5). Four them showed pure downbeat whilst five horizontal without torsional component. Patients shorter duration intolerance than those (1.0 ± 1.6 vs. 11.0 9.7 months, P < 0.001). In patients, disappeared despite persistence hypotension.Generalized caused by induces dysfunction. The presence has an association intolerance.
