ABSTRACT
Abstract The surf zones are significantly affected by tides, however, several gaps still in knowledge of fish assemblages response to spring‐neap and daily tidal cycles. We investigated a zone Gaolong Bay China. dynamics were examined during the neap tide spring test hypotheses that (1) reflect combination species from around coastal habitats, (2) determined both cycles diel rhythms species. collected 46 comprising 16 coral reef‐seagrass species, 24 mangrove‐estuarine 6 common Fish abundance richness higher than tide. Furthermore, tide, mostly carnivorous at night omnivorous planktivorous daytime. However, no clear patterns observed suggested mainly shaped diurnal cycle Our results support notion surveys could collect more rich multiple ecotypes evaluate resource status habitats. Consequently, management approaches with heterogeneous seascapes can lead positive outcomes for inshore resources ecosystem conservation.
