The present study examined relative and combined associations of these with in a sample US adults seeking treatment primary disorders. Methods Treatment‐seeking patients provided data on demographics, variables, psychiatric use medications, other prescription medications substances. A classification tree selection strategy was utilized this cross‐sectional to differentiate between those without headache, final multivariable model assessed their utility. Results Forty‐three 164 participants (26.2%) met diagnostic criteria headache. Relative non‐medication‐overuse participants, reported greater headache‐related disability (odds ratio = 1.09, 95% confidence interval 1.01‐1.18), escape avoidance responses indicative fear pain 1.07, 1.00‐1.15), combination 3.10, 1.51‐6.36). differentiated well 2 groups (area under receiver operating characteristic curve .78; .71‐.86). Conclusions Items that assess disability, help identify who are currently overusing acute may serve as indicators progress. Future should apply similar analytic approaches longitudinally sufferers at prior progression.
