ABSTRACT
Gleason pattern 4 (GP4) percentage, invasive cribriform and/or intraductal carcinoma (IC/IDC) and the presence of tertiary 5 (TP5) in radical prostatectomy (RP) specimens all aid risk stratification Grade Group (GG) 2 prostate cancer patients. However, it is unclear to what extent these pathological features are mutually related their individual values if they investigated simultaneously. The aims this study were: (i) determine mutual relationships GP4 IC/IDC TP5 GG2 RP specimens; (ii) assess prognostic value for biochemical recurrence-free survival (BCRFS).Of 1064 specimens, 472 (44.4%) showed cancer. Patients with ≥25% more frequently had (67.0% versus 43.9%; P < 0.001) (20.6% 5.8%; than those <25% GP4. In unadjusted analysis, an increased percentage [hazard ratio (HR) 1.3; 95% confidence interval (CI) 1.0-1.6; = 0.04] (log rank were associated shorter BCRFS, whereas (P 0.12) a dichotomised (<25%, ≥25%) 0.10) not. multivariable was independent factor (HR 1.9; CI 1.2-2.9; 0.005) continuous or not factors. In conclusion, higher frequent TP5. predictor These findings underscore importance routinely including pathology reports.
