ABSTRACT
Medication safety and effectiveness can be improved through interprofessional collaboration. The goals of this study were to measure the degree physician-pharmacist collaboration within Iraqi governmental healthcare settings investigate factors influencing collaboration.This cross-sectional was conducted in Al-Najaf Province using Collaborative Working Relationship Model Physician-Pharmacist Instrument (PPCI). Four pharmacists distributed paper surveys with a 7-point Likert scale convenience sample physicians working seven public hospitals two outpatient clinics. questionnaire (in English) covered individual (demographics, practising years academic affiliation), context (practice setting) PPCI characteristics (trustworthiness, role specification relationship initiation) addition collaborative care items: one for physicians. Separate multiple regressions used assess association pharmacists.Seventy-seven 86 returned usable (81.5% response rate). majority male (84%), while female (58%). mean age (37.99 years) older than that (30.35 years). had longer period practice (11.32 (5.45 Most (90%) providers hospitals.
