ABSTRACT
Healthcare costs arising from venous leg ulcers (VLU) are expected to increase due an aging population and increased prevalence of comorbidities. We aim estimate the healthcare resources incurred by VLU patients, quantify extent which predictors explain variation in cost-related outcomes. Retrospective patient-level cohort data for patients were analysed using generalised linear regression models. Data extracted a tertiary hospital registry Singapore, between 2013 2017. The outcome variables length stay per admission; inpatient outpatient bill whether patient underwent surgical treatment system; and, they visited emergency department. Cost outcomes reported Singapore dollars (S$). A total 162 included with mean age 67.5 (±14.4). For setting was 8.1 days S$7886. outpatients, number dressings 29.4, S$6962. Heart disease longer stays larger bills admission females had greater odds undergoing procedure on system. Certain groups found be associated cost
