ABSTRACT
Yellow head virus (YHV) is a viral pathogen of shrimp that has caused high economic loss in the Thai farming industry, and RNA interference mechanism potential as control strategy, previous studies have shown injection specific double-stranded (dsRNA) can inhibit replication shrimp. However, to date, complete inhibition not been achieved. This study sought determine whether cationic liposomes mixed with an antiviral dsRNA (YHV-Pro-dsRNA) were able enhance protection against YHV. The results showed YHV-Pro-dsRNA/cationic liposome complex markedly increased YHV compared naked YHV-Pro-dsRNA, suggesting uptake protective into cells.
