ABSTRACT
Atmospheric electrical conductivities have been monitored at a coastal site having large deposit of radioactive minerals. Conductivities were also two other sites, one and the inland, both non-radioactive. The ratio conductivity to that others is about 6, in agreement with radioactivity. diurnal variation pattern this May, pre-monsoon month, agrees known radon concentration air. However, June, monsoon it different, double oscillation similar sites. With onset monsoon, shows decrease, which not seen positive polar negative reduction after rainfall. differences between periods site, while there no change non-radioactive all these sites seasons sharp decrease starting 0400 hrs local time reaching minimum 0800 hrs. Such has attributed human activity associated sunrise. present results, however, suggest may be incorrect. Fourier analysis data exists strong semi-diurnal component inversely correlated clearly pressure tropics.
