ABSTRACT
The aim was to investigate the effects of yeast selenium (YS) supplementation on growth performance, meat quality, immunity, and antioxidant variables geese. A total 96 one-day-old geese with similar body weight were randomly divided into four groups, three replicates per group eight in each replicate. birds fed basal diets supplemented 0, 0.10, 0.30, 0.50 mg/kg YS (on basis) during 63-day experiment. Yeast showed no effect performance geese, but significantly improved quality. No changes ash or fat content observed breast muscle, significant (p < 0.05) protein increase detected 0.1 0.5 groups. 0.05 p 0.01) promoted Se deposition liver, kidney, pancreas, muscle highest increases all group. enhanced organ cellular immunity did not alter humoral immunity. Furthermore, dietary capacity both varied levels organs. Hence, a good measure improve content, function, goose.
