ABSTRACT
To evaluate different mechanisms of primary angle closure and to quantify anterior chamber parameters in these using segment optical coherence tomography an Asian population.Hospital-based cross-sectional observational study.Forty-eight consecutive patients with glaucoma.Patients underwent complete ophthalmic examination imaging nasal-temporal angles tomography. Images were categorized into four mechanisms: pupil block, plateau iris configuration, Thick peripheral roll exaggerated lens vault. Parameters computed: depth central, at 1000 µm 2000 scleral spur, vault, area, opening distance, trabecular space area thickness.Anterior mechanisms. Mean values depths: central (P < 0.001), vault significantly among the groups. Multivariate analysis showed higher lower 0.001) as compared block mechanism, was greater lesser mechanism.Anterior may be used for evaluation underlying mechanism(s) a patient tailor treatment accordingly.
