ABSTRACT
Implicit person theory (IPT) is characterised by the belief that specific attributes of people are generally either more static (i.e. entity beliefs) or malleable incremental beliefs). Within organisational sciences literature, past IPT research has focused on impact managers' beliefs their own behaviours. The current advances extant literature presenting two empirical studies assess whether subordinates formulate an impression manager's IPT. results consistent with forming such impression, as working under same manager agreed Moreover, our support convergent validity (e.g. job satisfaction, turnover intention) and discriminant transformational leadership, subordinates' perception) impressions theoretical practical implications research, future directions regarding cross-cultural differences related to discussed.
