ABSTRACT
Summary. A total of 1639 women attending the antenatal clinic Gentofte University Hospital, Copenhagen, during 1986–1987 was randomized into a symphyseal fundal (SF)‐group and control group. The in SF‐group had their height measured from 29th week until delivery. measurements were used along with other usual screening procedures. SF‐measurements not found helpful prediction small‐for‐gestational‐age infants no significant differences between two groups regarding number interventions, additional diagnostic procedures, or condition newborns.
