ABSTRACT
Tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha) is known to participate in the wastage syndrome that accompanies cancer and severe infectious diseases. More recently, a role for TNF-alpha pathogenesis of type 2 diabetes mellitus obesity has been shown. Much regulatory action exerted by upon control energy stores depends on its hypothalamus. In this study, we show activates canonical pro-inflammatory signal transduction pathways hypothalamus rats. These signaling events lead transcriptional activation an early responsive gene induction expression cytokines cytokine protein such as interleukin-1beta, interleukin-6, interleukin-10 suppressor signalling-3, respectively. addition, induces neurotransmitters involved feeding thermogenesis. Thus, may act directly inducing response modulation homeostasis.
