ABSTRACT
To determine the influence of soil-borne fungus Trichoderma harzianum on biocontrol performance Pseudomonas fluorescens strain CHA0 and its 2,4-diacetylphloroglucinol (DAPG) overproducing derivative CHA0/pME3424 against Meloidogyne javanica.Amendment culture filtrate (CF) or methanol extract CF a T. Th6 to P. growth medium enhanced production nematicidal compound(s) by bacterial inoculants in vitro. In addition, bacteria overwhelmingly expressed phl'-'lacZ reporter gene when was amended with harzianum. applied together unsterilized sandy loam soil caused greater reduction nematode population densities tomato roots.Trichoderma improves root-knot antagonistic rhizobacterium both vitro under glasshouse conditions. The synergistic effect critical may improve efficacy plant-parasitic nematodes. Considering inconsistent agents field conditions, application mixture compatible would more closely mimic natural situation might broaden spectrum activity reliability control.
