ABSTRACT
As a review and clinical analysis of primary oral leiomyosarcoma (LMS) cases in West China stomatology Hospital the past 37 years, this study provides demographic, therapeutic prognostic information rare tumor.In our study, 20 LMS treated between 1972 2008 Stomatology were analyzed retrospectively. A thorough records was carried out potential indicators survival analyzed.The most common symptom presented as painless mass. The median age patients peak incidence tumor 2nd 5th decades. There no predilection gender, male-to-female ratio 11:9. frequently occurring site leiomysarcoma jawbones. prognosis poor result high local recurrence estimated 2 year 17.6%. bony involvement method therapy observed to have an influence on (P < 0.05).There jawbones for LMS, indicator suggesting poorer prognosis. recommended aggressive, radical surgical resection; however, adjuvant radiotherapy chemotherapy may also beneficial effect.
