ABSTRACT
Abstract Aim This randomized controlled clinical trial (RCT) aimed to compare the accuracy of implant positions between static computer‐assisted surgery (CAIS) and freehand in a single edentulous space. Materials methods Sites with spaces neighbouring natural teeth were into CAIS or groups. In both groups, digital planning was performed using data from cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) surface scans. group, surgical guide produced used for fully guided surgery, while implants placed manner. Postoperative CBCT nine measurements representing deviations angles, shoulders apexes planned actual positions. Results Fifty‐two patients received 60 implants. The median (IQR) 2.8 (2.6)°, 0.9 (0.8) mm 1.2 (0.9) mm, respectively, 7.0 (7.0)°, 1.3 (0.7) 2.2 (1.2) group. Statistically significant differences found 6 out measured parameters Mann–Whitney U test ( p < 0.05). Conclusion Static provided more than placement
