ABSTRACT
Though psoriasis poses a substantial chronic socio-economic burden, few studies have addressed the economic impact in Germany.The objective was to evaluate annual costs of Germany from societal perspective.A cross-sectional study performed randomly selected German dermatology practices and clinics 2013/2014 using standardized questionnaires illness-related costs. Costs were grouped by perspective category as well analysed sex age. Group differences tested non-parametric tests.Complete data obtained 1158 patients 132 centres. Annual average for with psoriasis: total € 5543 ± 8044, systemic treatment (paid statutory health insurances [SHI]) 3733 7322, out-of-pocket 224 406, SHI 4940 7533, direct 5164 7581 indirect 379 2087.
