ABSTRACT
Abstract To design a walnut shell–kernel winnowing device, the aerodynamic characteristics of shells and kernels were studied by combining theoretical computation empirical tests. A method was developed for separation based on an analysis suspending velocity. The performance device evaluated screening rate loss rate. Influences feeding rate, wind speed, vibration frequency simulated, optimal operating parameters acquired. Research results demonstrated that velocity ranges 8.96–13.89 11.81–20.78 m/s, respectively. Vibration primary factor influenced followed speed then Feeding influencing speed. as follows: = 246.61 g/s, 19.77 41.17 Hz. Under these conditions, device's 79.22% 7.38%, designed conforms to practical operational requirements. This study provides potential reference future investigation into optimization devices other agricultural products.
