ABSTRACT
Abstract Background and Aim Laparoscopic resection (LAP) endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) of small gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) have been reported by large amount literature. However, the management GISTs remains controversial. This study evaluated efficacy ESD LAP for gastric provided long‐term outcomes two methods. Methods A total 126 patients who underwent or between 2009 2016 were retrospectively collected from medical records in our hospital, we made telephone follow‐up about recurrence rate. The parameters measured each procedure type include clinicopathological characteristics, rate, surgical outcomes. Results Among patients, 75 (59.52%) received ESD, 51(40.48%) LAP. characteristics well balanced. There was also no significant difference time (3.34 ± 1.53 years group 3.41 1.37 group, P = 0.19). observed operating time, estimated blood loss, hospital stay (63.59 34.41 min vs 79.12 43.47 min, 0.04; 8.53 15.89 mL 17.16 18.90 mL, 0.01; 6.60 2.70 days 10.37 3.50 days, < 0.001, respectively). rate 2.67% 1.96%, respectively, 0.41. Kaplan–Meier curves disease‐free survival showed statistically ( 0.72). Conclusions Endoscopic is a preferable technique compared with randomized controlled trials are further needed.
