ABSTRACT
Abstract Background Full lips are beauty standards. Botulinum toxin A (BTA) paralyzes the orbicularis oris muscle to achieve eversion of lip, and thus makes lip look plump. Aims This study presents three cases BTA injection evaluates possible changes in labial morphology surface area. Methods Three patients received a total 4U at vermilion border upper lip. Vectra® H1 3D imaging system was used capture photographs before two weeks after injection. Eight linear distances area were measured. Anthropometric measurements compared. Results Patients displayed larger vermillion height ( P = .038) smaller cutaneous .024). There trend for area, but not statistically significant .109). Symptoms slight perioral muscular palsy mouth incompetence lasted about one month patients. Conclusion helps enlarge shorten philtrum. The can be an option enhancement with caution.
