ABSTRACT
Abstract Aim To investigate the effects of levothyroxine and prednisolone treatment, or in combination, on positive thyroid autoantibodies infertile patients undergoing vitro fertilization (IVF) therapy. Methods This retrospective study included a total 190 with (anti‐T anti‐TPO) who underwent IVF treatment between January 2008 March 2016. Patients were divided into four groups: group 1—levothyroxine ( n = 50), 2–prednisolone 3–levothyroxine combination 25), 4—control 65). Anti‐T anti‐TPO levels before at time embryo transfer (ET), b‐hcg positivity, clinical biochemical pregnancy, miscarriage rate, live birth rate compared among groups. Results In levothyroxine‐treated group, mean significantly decreased ET to p 0.036). 3, anti‐T < 0.05). became pregnant 1, The pregnancy was higher 2 0.03). Abortion rates highest but no significant difference found treated had increased control 0.02). Conclusions Levothyroxine addition during antibodies subclinical hypothyroidism increases take‐home baby rate. Whether not is more effective than low‐dose corticosteroids.
