ABSTRACT
Abstract Objective As the participation of dental professionals in multidisciplinary care is often limited, instructions on oral health management provided by to other are important achieve transdisciplinary management; however, effectiveness such remains unclear. In this longitudinal study, we aimed determine impact and nurses instructed inpatients eligible for a Nurition Support Team (NST). Methods The study participants were 117 patients (66 men 51 women, mean age: 71.9 ± 12.5 years) who received during NST intervention period. from (Ns group) or (D group). conducted professionals. Oral was assessed at beginning end using Health Assessment Tool (OHAT). Result Ns D groups showed significant improvements total OHAT scores intervention. Both subitems lip, tongue, gums tissues, saliva, cleanliness pain, while only group improvement denture subitem. Conclusion Effective trained them improved status an acute‐care hospital.
