ABSTRACT
Following the appearance of several antimicrobial agents to control spread infections, two major challenges have emerged: (i) occurrence and blowout multiresistant bacteria increase chronic diseases (ii) difficult-to-eradicate infections. In this study, we tested five benzoylthiourea derivatives for their ability inhibit stop bacterial growth evaluated possible influence 1,2,4-triazolyl-benzoylthiourea derivative 4 on formation eradication Staphylococcus aureus biofilms. Benzoylthiourea 4, 6, 10, 11 13 were obtained in one or steps with low cost subjected tests identify minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) bactericidal concentration. vitro also performed assess effects biofilm preformed biofilms scanning electron microscopy was used visualize formation. The showed bacteriostatic activity against S. HU25 clinical strain an MIC 16 µg ml−1, which is below toxic (at 2500 62·25% cells remained viable). Compound effectively prevented at three subinhibitory concentrations (1/2 MIC, 1/4 1/8 MIC) as confirmed by microscopy. For breakdown formed biofilms, main a MIC). These findings make compound strong candidate studies development new antibiofilm agents.
