ABSTRACT
Abstract Introduction Lymphatic vessels collect interstitial fluid, immune cells, and digested lipids return these bodily fluids to blood through two pairs of lymphovenous valves (LVVs). Like other cardiovascular LVVs prevent the backflow into lymphatic vessels. In addition LVVs, platelets are necessary entry Platelet thrombi observed at suggesting that function in synergy regulate blood/lymphatic separation. Objectives The primary objective this work is determine whether can blood/lymph separation independently LVVs. Methods transcription factor GATA2 for development both hematopoietic stem cells. Using various endothelial‐ cell expressed Cre‐lines, we conditionally deleted Gata2. We hypothesized strategy would identify tissue‐ time‐specific roles reveal Results vasculature‐specific deletion Gata2 results absence without compromising contrast, from vasculature cells reduced number blood‐filled vasculature. Conclusion promotes platelets. Furthermore, only known sites interaction between fact able enter mice lacking indicates under circumstances connected yet be identified sites.
