Senna ser. Bacillares (Leguminosae, Cassieae) is the largest of American series, with approximately 50 species. Several taxa are still poorly known or problematic delimitation. Based on extensive fieldwork and collection‐based research for our ongoing taxonomic studies , we identified two new species which here describe as S. dryadica franciscana . In addition, recognize gloriosa a morphologically ecologically distinct species, rather than variety splendida The illustrated described, distributional phenological data well preliminary conservation assessment each provided.
