ABSTRACT
ABSTRACTA 10‐year‐old boy presented with plaques and nodules accompanied by itching on his trunk and extremities, persisting for 2 months. Initially, erythematous papules appeared, followed by vesicles that caused pain upon rupture. He was diagnosed with erythema elevatum diutinum (EED), a condition more commonly seen in adults and rarely in children, particularly boys. Typical clinical manifestations of EED include nodules, papules, or plaques, with rare reports of variants like the vesiculobullous form. While dapsone is the standard treatment for EED, our patient showed improvement with topical corticosteroids. Given the chronic nature of EED, long‐term management may be necessary, with careful monitoring for treatment side effects and the potential for recurrence after discontinuation.
