In Turkey, a mandatory referral system is not used. Caregivers, for their children, present directly to health-care providers at all levels. This allows patients university hospitals. this study, reasons hospital-treatment seeking by caregivers child health problems discussed.This was cross-sectional descriptive study Dokuz Eylul University Faculty of Medicine, Izmir, 235 whose children were admitted the outpatient clinic General Pediatrics Department between 4 and 11 April 2013. They completed questionnaire on demographic data presentation hospital. Mann-Whitney U-test used compare group means, Pearson chi-squared test ratios groups. P <0.05 considered be statistically significant.A total 54.5% participants lived far from The most frequent complaints involved respiratory tract, among which complaint cough. Time symptom onset ≥7 days in 58.3% patients, 48.9% had never presented another institution. common reason choosing hospital availability necessary tests (88.1%).Despite use primary systems, with regard tertiary presentation, important factors preferring caregiver trust resources diagnosis treatment.
