ABSTRACT
Recent studies of people exposed to suicide point a continuum effects moderated by perception closeness the deceased. We investigated importance impact death on mental health outcomes those suicide. Female sex, younger age, and multiple exposures were associated with greater risk for poorer outcomes. Suicide high was more likely have depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress disorder, prolonged grief, ideation. Findings can help focus postvention resources suicide-exposed individuals.
