Abstract Objectives A good mastery of stroke‐related knowledge can be great benefit in developing healthy behaviours. This study surveyed the about stroke and influencing factors among patients with acute ischaemic (AIS) at discharge a Chinese province. Methods cross‐section was conducted from November 1, 2014 to January 31, 2015. total 1531 AIS Hubei Province completed questionnaire discharge. Multivariate linear regression used identify their stroke. Results About 31.2% respondents did not know that is caused by blockage or rupture cerebral blood vessels 20.3% realise they need immediate medical attention after onset. Approximately 50% sudden blurred vision, dizziness, headache unconsciousness are warning signs Over 40% were aware risk condition, such as hypertension, hyperlipidaemia, diabetes mellitus, smoking obesity. 20% had no idea long‐term medication strict control pressure, lipids sugar. Their levels correlated regions residence ( P < 0.0001), socioeconomic status 0.05), physical condition 0.01), previous 0.0001) family members friends having 0.01).
