ABSTRACT
The objective of this research is to validate the behavior degradation rate within porous magnesium scaffolds in terms morphological which includes weight loss after by means micro-computed tomography (µCT) based on image processing. main contribution work finding another method determine morphology computer simulation. In present study, bone scaffold specimens made pure that was prepared with three different percentages porosities 30%, 41%, and 55%. There were immersed subjected dynamic flow simulated body fluid for periods 24, 48 72 hours. One sample each specimen scanned µCT a resolution 17 µm. cross-sections raw data superimposed using MIMICS software form 3D reconstruction samples degradation. collected from simulation showed good agreement experimental results only less than 2%. Based results, it possible give recommendation alternative way study orthopedic applications.
