ABSTRACT
The study dealt with the analysis of macroeconomic impact national presidential elections in Ghana during Fourth Republican period from 1992 to 2016 based on effects these economic growth, government budget deficits, inflation and interest rates. Using annual data covering period, 2016, indicated that did not lead significant increase growth as measured by changes real gross domestic product (GDP). However, deficits election years was established. Further, quarterly 100 periods we showed produced significantly higher levels Our confirmed anecdotal evidence worsening performance economy a result which hurt ordinary Ghanaians especially those living fixed incomes such pensioners due inflation, also adversely affected small medium scale businessmen increased borrowing costs
