ABSTRACT
Abstract In this study, a framework is developed to perform two-stage stochastic programming in district energy system. This optimizes the sizing of components minimize total cost and operating CO2 emissions. Uncertainties electricity demand, solar irradiance, wind speed, emissions are considered. A group buildings at University Utah used as case study test optimization framework. novel by forming an open-source framework, considering with more details compared previous studies literature, performing for campus U.S. study’s results show trade-off between when different configurations three purchasing cases. can help facility managers evaluate optimum their system
